It’s December already? Oh well…

Wow this term went over without any updates! I was in school all day every day so I didn’t have time for it anyways, but it’s in my new years resolution to go forth with this as well. If not, just to keep something going and growing. It’s curious, I’ve been asked to update my blog but it’s been from people that have already seen my paintings every day haha!

If I were to evaluate the last half year it’s tough, since I can only think of everything I do wrong. I guess it’s good that I try new things and all that, but learning to paint is hard work! D:

That said, I don’t want to become cynical with art and praise work that is really bad or be whiny about everything I can’t do. Unfortunately that keeps me pretty mute in the end, so here’s just some of the stuff I’vve been producing over the fall trimester here in Mölndal:

Strange enough, I worked 11 weeks on my last cast painting and all I could achieve so far was the underpainting! I hope to finish it next trimester so I can go on painting 1 or 2 stilllifes before it’s over.

And the ecorché statue thing that I’m working on. it’s fun and I learn a lot about the 3D-wrappings of the bones so far, trying to teach me some anatomy, it’s a pity we don’t have anatomy-classes up here. I guess you can fill in just that much of content into a 3-year curriculum
